Person-centered therapy

Person-centered therapy is based on the view that every individual has the capacity and desire for personal growth and change when provided with the right conditions.

The therapist is not seen as the expert who will be directing the therapy but is there to facilitate your personal growth and change through being respectful non-judgmental and supportive of what the client may choose to discuss within their sessions within a safe, supportive, and confidential space that will enable the client to be able to gain confidence within their abilities to be able to work through their issues of concern and change and develop in their way and in their own time.

This form of therapy helps support individuals in managing:

  • Long-term anxiety

  • Additions to food, alcohol, drugs, and sex

  • Anger

  • Loss and bereavement

  • Loneliness

  • Major life transitions such as menopause, divorce, deteriorating/diminishing physical mobility, and getting older

(*I offer a reduced rate for individuals who meet the following criteria: NHS workers, former clients, and sessions booked in blocks of six or more.)
